take over
Wow, Devin is so frustrating. She always tries to take over and control our meetings. She interrupts when we are speaking and talks over other people too.

taken aback
I know what you mean! Last week we all agreed on sushi for our office lunch. Then SHE decided she didn't want sushi. I sure was taken aback when Devin called and canceled our order!

take away
How rude! I heard they had to take away her gym membership because she caused so many problems there.

took apart
This is true! Apparently, she took apart a section of a weight machine which broke the apparatus. No one has any idea why she did this!

take down
The gym had to take down the whole machine and send it out to get fixed. It was gone for 4 months and they lost many customers because of this!

Take off
Take off! That's why the gym was so empty this spring! Now it's July. I guess I have no excuses. Gotta go and work out! I'll start on Monday.... or Tuesday...

take up
Hey, I'll see you there! I was planning to take up weight lifting next week. We can build up our strength together for dealing with Miss Bossy!
